Clubs & Organizations

Corydon Rotary Club promotes and foster high ethical standards in business and professions and promote the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations. Community Service covers the projects and activities the club undertakes to improve life in its community.

Wayne County Arts Council (WAYCO) encourages the arts by providing scholarships to art/music students and bringing art and music related activities into the community.

The Wayne Community Foundation is an organization designed to assist and benefit the citizens of Wayne County. The goal is to provide an efficient entity to accept and administer funds in the manner prescribed by each donor.

Wayne Community Foundation is affiliated with The Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines, a nationally certified foundation.

The Wayne County Historical Society in Iowa preserves and shares the history of Wayne County and the surrounding area. The society operates the Prairie Trails Museum, which includes the Heritage Barn. 

Wayne County Veterans Affairs assists Veterans and Dependents in filing Federal, State and County Claims. Their goal is to serve and support those who have served and sacrificed for their country. Our Mission is to assist, inform and educate veterans and their families on medical, compensation, pension, education, home loans, memorial, and limited financial needs.

The Wayne-Corydon Optimist Club in Iowa sponsors youth soccer leagues as part of their community service work.Optimist Clubs are autonomous and run by members in their community. They raise funds and select service initiatives to improve the lives of children.
